Yoga: Our Parent Source, per Yogiraj Siddhanath

YOGA: Our Parent Source
A Conversation with Yogiraj Siddhanath
By Sergio Barreto Solis
Sergio:
Welcome, Yogiraj.  Let’s start with an obvious which, likely, isn’t.  What is
the purpose of Yoga?

Yogiraj:
The purpose of Yoga is You, and the purpose of You is your finite
consciousness merging into Infinite Consciousness.  Yoga is Consciousness.  And Supreme Yoga is Divine
Consciousness.
Within
each of us is this mystic, inconceivable, indescribable Silence and Love
and this urge (calling us) back to our naturalness, or Sahaj Samadhi, our
natural state of Divine Consciousness.
So
Yoga is the science, the way, and the path to actualize the essence of your
Being.  It has nothing to do with culture or religion.  It’s just your path
to Truth.  It’s an inner ascent through ever more refined and ever more
expanded spheres of Consciousness to Divinity, that stillness before the
Big Bang; a stillness which lies at the core of your own Being.
Sergio:
Is samadhi something we’ve experienced and forgotten?

Yogiraj: Samadhi is a natural state of enlightenment.  When Consciousness enters different
sheaths of the body, there is a descent of this awareness into grosser and
grosser sheaths.  And this is what is
called Maya.  Consciousness enters the mental sheath.  Then it enters the
astral sheath of emotions.  And then
it enters the etheric sheath, and then it enters the womb and the material
sheath of flesh and blood and bone.
And
it gets more and more restricted as it, in relative sequence, by various
permutations, combinations, and aggregation of molecules, becomes denser
and denser and denser.  That’s why
man, when he takes birth from the womb of a mother, his breath penetrates
and injects his physical body with such force that the cause is mistaken
for the effect, and man idolatrously imagines himself to be the body and
not the Soul.  And then, by practice
of yoga and other techniques, “he” goes back to the natural state of
enlightenment.
So
the breath is infused into the flesh with such force that you think you are
the body, whereas you are actually the Soul.  And Yoga is a technique to reverse the
electrical flow of prana, or life
essence energy, to regain paradise lost.  And when you, by the yogic
process, reverse your process, interiorize — you merge into your own Divine
Consciousness and realize that you are a Soul and you have a body.
Whereas
the common people today think they are a body and possess a Soul.  It’s not
that!  Yoga teaches that you are a Spirit unfettered in the body and possess
an appendix, an attachment of “body,” that is just your garment.
Sergio:
What is the Yoga of the Himalayas and how is it distinguished from “Studio
Yoga” taught in the West?

Yogiraj:
There is only one Yoga. The apparent difference between all yoga branches
is only of degree and not of kind. To a Knowing Master, the various yogas
can be organized in an ascending order from the physical postural yoga
(known as Yoga Asanas) to the emotional / devotional Bhakti Yoga then
further ascending to the more mental Mantra, Tantra and Laya Yogas then
ascending and expanding further into the intuitional Raja and Gyan Yoga of
true knowledge.
When
they say yoga here in the West, they mostly imply postural integration —
asanas, where they do the Yoga Asanas, the movement of body in various
postures, to bring about health. Yoga Asanas are like a self-given shiatsu,
self-given massage where you press and compress your body, you heal
yourself with them.
But,
basically and essentially, Yoga is not postures of integration of asanas.
Essentially, the core meaning of Yoga is Samadhi which means “composed mind,” the union of the finite
with Infinite Consciousness.
So
“Studio Yoga” is the initial tenderfoot, yet sincere effort of most Western
teachers to maintain bodily fitness and then further ascend toward the one
Yoga which is Samadhi, the fusion of the finite with the Infinite
Consciousness.  The urge is to go back to our Parent Source.
Sergio:
Why is the guidance of a guru or meditation master important to the
practice of Yoga?

Yogiraj:
Yoga is a natural process of the journey of the soul towards its parent
source, the Spirit.  But it takes a million, million years for a soul to
reach its natural state of Yoga-union with its Infinite Spirit.
In
order to avoid all karmic pitfalls and difficulties and to make the journey
of our soul safer, swifter, and more blessed, it is most important that one
evolves himself in his journey by the grace of a divine master, one who has
realized Samadhi-Yoga, or the True State of Infinite Consciousness.
What
a normal meditation practitioner would take to accomplish in several
million years, the blessings of a Satguru, or Master, and the technique of
Kriya Yoga would accomplish in twenty-four years, in twelve years even,
and, if the practice is intensified, in six years and three years in very exceptional
cases.
In
the unchartered ocean of life, the Satguru is the navigator and the goal is
Shiva’s Divine Form, or realized Samadhi Yoga, the goal of Divine
Consciousness. Under no stretch of imagination, can the Satguru’s
usefulness be dispensed within Himalayan Yoga or any yoga.
Sergio:
What then is Kriya Yoga? How does it differ from other systems of Yoga?

Yogiraj:
At the outset let me make it clear that all the yogas and faiths and
spiritual practices in the world are the symphony of one divine orchestra,
it is the immature ego in the human mind which makes of this harmony a
disharmony.  All the yogas, if
understood in their proper wisdom, are flowing one into the other as the
musical notes and varied instruments.
Similarly, the practice of postural yoga, of Yoga Asanas flows into
Hatha Yoga which flows into Kriya Yoga, which flows into Raja Yoga and then
into Samadhi Yoga.
As
a matter of real fact, Kriya Yoga takes the best of all yogas: it is a
connecting yoga between Hatha and Raja Yogas containing the properties of
both and linking the spectrum of all.
Patanjali mentions Kriya Yoga in his second chapter which comprises
self-endeavored discipline, self-endeavored study, and a pure offering of
one’s self to the Divine, be it as Guru or God.
Kriya
Yoga is the science of life-force energy control which develops into a
concentration and then a meditative practice until Kriya Yoga finally
merges that into states of Samadhi and is then qualified to be called Raja
Yoga.
When
the mind is dissolved, then this yoga expands into the ecstasy of total
enlightenment called Kaivalya or Brahma Nirvana.  It is from and with this
total enlightenment that the Satguru guides aspiring practitioners towards
Samadhi, home, to their Parent Source.
For
over 40 years, Yogiraj Siddhanath has healed and transformed millions all
over the world with his kundalini shakti transmissions, sharing freely his
own Samadhi (enlightened state) of peaceful bliss-consciousness with public
audiences.  Find out more at: www.vps105180.inmotionhosting.com

Awaken in the Presence of a True Spiritual Master

The presence of a true ‪#‎master‬ can awaken the ‪#‎kundalini‬.
And then by the practice of ‪#‎Kriya_Yoga‬, it may ‪#‎ascend‬.

The Awakening of Kundalini through the Presence of a True Master: Yogiraj Siddhanath

The presence of a true master holds the power to ignite the dormant spiritual energy within us known as kundalini. This potent energy, often symbolized as a coiled serpent at the base of the spine, lies latent in most individuals. However, the presence of a realized master like Yogiraj Siddhanath can act as a catalyst, awakening this profound force and setting it on a path of ascension through the chakras.

Yogiraj Siddhanath, a revered Kriya Yoga master, embodies this rare ability to awaken kundalini. His mere presence emanates a transformative energy that can activate the kundalini within his disciples. This awakening is not merely a symbolic or metaphorical event but a tangible, often life-altering experience. Those who have had the privilege of being in Yogiraj Siddhanath’s presence often describe a profound shift in their energy, consciousness, and overall spiritual awareness.

Once awakened, the journey of kundalini is guided through the disciplined practice of Kriya Yoga. This ancient and sacred practice involves a series of techniques designed to purify the body and mind, facilitating the smooth ascension of kundalini through the energy centers or chakras. Kriya Yoga, as taught by Yogiraj Siddhanath, offers a structured and safe approach to this powerful process. It harmonizes breath control, meditation, and specific postures to create a conducive environment for spiritual growth.

The ascension of kundalini through the chakras brings about profound transformations. It purifies the nadis (energy channels), balances the chakras, and expands consciousness, leading to higher states of awareness and ultimately, self-realization. Practitioners often report enhanced mental clarity, emotional stability, and a deep sense of inner peace. The ultimate goal is to achieve a state of union with the divine, realizing the interconnectedness of all life.

Yogiraj Siddhanath’s role as a true master goes beyond merely teaching techniques; he provides the spiritual transmission that awakens and guides the kundalini. His teachings and presence offer a unique and precious opportunity for sincere seekers to embark on this transformative journey. Through the combined power of Yogiraj’s presence and the disciplined practice of Kriya Yoga, the path to spiritual enlightenment and the ascension of kundalini becomes a tangible reality.

May 10 2013: Yogiraj SatGurunath Siddhanath bestowed honorary title at rare Spiritual Coronation

May 10 2013: Yogiraj SatGurunath Siddhanath bestowed honorary title at rare Spiritual Coronation

Yog Martand Yogiraj Satgurunath Siddhanath

10th May 2013 proved to be a royal blessing for all those who witnessed the spiritual coronation ceremony of Yogiraj Satgurunath Siddhanath. He was honored as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje Ratna1 and was bestowed with the title of ‘Yog Martand2’ by the Brahman sansad3 of varanashi. The Brahman sansad of varanashi is the highest authority on the Sanatan Dharma since it is established by the four main Jagatguru Shakaracharyas of Shringeri, Jagannath Puri, Dwarika and Badrikashram jyotirpeeth respectively. The auspicious occasion of Satgurunath’s birthday happened to be the day for his spiritual coronation. The celebration of Satgurunath’s birthday was merged with the grand coronation ceremony and with that, the Siddhanath Forest Ashram became the host to the colorful extravaganza. The Nath Mandal was decorated with scented flowers, 108 colorful oil lamps, red carpets, Rangoli designs, colorful ‘pandal’ and beautiful garlands. Yogiraj Siddhanath and his family were looking stunning and elegant in their regal attires. Besides this, the other men were dressed in white with orange turban, and women were dressed in silk and zaree sarees splashed with different colors, and accompanied with beautiful jewelries. Satgurunath and Satgurumata were ushered on the stage with the blowing of the ranabheri4.

Once Satgurunath and Satgurumata took their seats, the coronation rituals were commenced by Satgurunath’s grandchildren Aryasangh and Ritaum, who came in and lit the mangal deep5 on the centre stage. They were accompanied by their sisters Vedanjali and Ujjaini who came in with the mangal kalash6 which they placed in front of the mangal deep. Then, the granddaughters did the vijay tilak7 and aukshan8 to Satgurunath and Satgurumata Shivangini. The same ritual of aukshan was carried out by Yogiraj Satgurunath’s daughters-in-law Sau. Savani Raje and Sau. Vrushali Raje, who held the thali (plate) with 70 lamps which marked Satgurunath’s entry into his 70th spiritually victorious year.

Kriyavaan Kriyacharya Shivraj, who took every possible effort in making the function grandiose, joyous and royal, welcomed the honorary guests, and in short but powerful words, explained how the visit to Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple led Shri Shankaracharya to acknowledge Satgurunath’s spiritual stature, and made him to decide to bestow upon him the powerful title of ‘Yog Martand.’ He also thanked Babasaheb Purandare, a world renowned historian and an authority on the literary works of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja9, for gracing the occasion with his presence. Shivraj Raje did not forget to bring to the notice of the audience that “the grandmaster of ceremonies Pandit Gagha Bhatt came from Varanashi with the ‘panchateertha jal10’ to coronate Maharaja Shivaji as ‘The Chhatrapati’. Today, on the 10th of May 2013, approximately three hundred and seventy five years after the big event, Pandit Amarnath Mishra comes from the same Varanashi, getting along with him the same holy waters, to coronate Yogiraj Satgurunath as ‘The Yog Martand’ and to bestow upon him the honor of Chhatrapati Shivaji Ratna.” After mentioning this fact, Shivraj Raje also said that the political and the national history are repeating itself as the spiritual and world happening.

Shri Shankaracharya of Dwarika had personally sent his political representative and the President of Brahman Sansad of Varanashi, Pandit Amaranth Mishra, to do the formalities and rituals of the spiritual coronation. Pandit Amarnath Mishra was accompanied by eleven Brahmins from Kashi, and had brought with him the waters of the ‘panchateertha jal’. With these holy waters, the abhishek of Satgurunath, Satgurumata and their family was done. Thereafter, as a blessing, Pandit Amarnath Mishra sprinkled the spiritually charged ‘panchateertha jal’ over the head of each and every person who was present there to witness the divine nostalgia, which took everyone 5000 years back into the times of Prabhu Ramchandra. The divine bliss felt by the audience after being blessed by the ‘panchateertha jal’ was expressed through the waters of their souls as they shimmered through their eyes. Later, Pandit Mishra started his speech by voicing the opinion of Bhagwan shankaracharya of the Dwarikapeeth, who very assertively stated that “Yogiraj Satgurunath is a Rudra Swaroop (rudra avatar) and the only Nath yogi who has made himself uniquely available for the benefit of humanity, simultaneously in the spiritual and terrestorial realms to solve the problems of humanity and bring back the ‘Ram Rajya’ (Lord Ram’s Kingdom) and the Satyug.” Pandit Amaranth Mishra himself mentioned that he intuitively felt that Satgurunath is the Manu, sitting with the sword and four Vedas in front of him and Satgurumata is the human aspect of the divine mother Goddess Tulja Bhavani.

Later, Shiv-Shahir Babasaheb Purandare unveiled the certificate of honor, which was later read by Pandit Amarnath Mishra. After this, Satgurunath was enthroned and was coronated by Pandit Amarnath Mishra with the bejeweled family head gear called the ‘Shinde Shahi Pagdi’ which symbolizes the ‘Chhatra’ (the royal shelter for all). Then, he handed Satgurunath with the Vedas as a symbol of the ‘shaastra’ (scriptures of wisdom), and gave him the sword, that symbolizes the ‘shastra’ (weapon to protect the cause of truth and peace). After this, he requested Satgurunath to say a few words. It was Yogiraj Satgurunath who explained the true meaning of the title that was bestowed upon him. He said that when a king is not just a king but is also a yogi, then his sword is transformed from a weapon of violence into a weapon of spirituality, known as the ‘Gyan Aaseen’. The sword becomes a powerful weapon to separate the truth from the untruth, the pure from the impure and the reality from the illusion. He reinforced that it is the spiritual evolution and the empowerment of humanity that can help in bringing the ‘Ram Rajya’ back on earth plane, and not the violence, wars or hatred. With his spiritually mesmerizing talk, Satgurunath gave a completely new dimension to his spiritual coronation ceremony, and uplifted the already blessed spirits of everyone who was present there.

Seated to the of left of Yogiraj was Hamsa Kriyacharya Rudrasen Raje Shitole, who sat for the fire ceremony (havan), the ashes of which were mixed with the Ganga water used for the coronation. Rudrasen has been the silent backbone of the Hamsa Yoga Sangh, and has been coordinating international hamsa activities for over the last 14 years.

On the behalf of Hamsa Yoga Sangh, Hamsa Kriyacharya Jyoti thanked Shri Shankaracharya, Pandit Amarnath Mishra and The Brahman Sansad, and  gave the vote of thanks to the high profile bureaucracy marked by honored people such as the Collector and the Commissioner of the State. After this, everyone from the audience came to the stage one by one and took Satgurunath’s blessings. Even though this was the concluding aspect of the ceremony, one cannot really say that the coronation ceremony concluded with this, as it is still alive and throbbing in the hearts of people who were present there. Hamsa yoga Sangh is grateful to Kriyavaan Kriyacharya Shivraj and his wife Sau. Savani Raje, whose efforts got forth such a celestial event for all the Hamsas who were present.

What is Kundalini

Kundalini is the Kinetic energy remaining after the completion of the Universe. This residual bio-electric force lies as light-sound vibrations potentially coiled three and one-half times round the swayambhu Linga with its mouth closing the root of the sushumna nadi in the spinal cord. This divine energy is tucked away in the mooladhara chakra. To avail of it for one’s own evolution and realization is the birthright of every human soul. It may be awakened by scientific Yogic procedures: Shaktipat, Shakti-sancharan, and best by Unmani (a no-mind state of absorption).

A timeless evolution of Consciousness

A Timeless Evolution of Consciousness !

In the human brain exists the formation of a “swan in flight”. In the head is the Corpus Callosum and the ventricles which are located in the mid-brain.

When a Hamsa Yogi through meditation and pranayama activates the Kundalini energy, then these ventricles in the brain open up. The two petals in the Agaya chakra open (corresponding to the pituitary gland). The Yogi at this stage experiences Hamsa consciousness – being breathed by the Divine Indweller, the universal Prana.

As the Yogi progresses in the Hamsa meditation, the subtle fibers in the corona radiata light up with divine energy and effulgence. These radiant fibers spread in the Sahasrara chakra. The Hamsa Nath Yogi’s Sarvikalpa consciousness then expands to the Paramhamsa Nath Yogi’s state of Nirvikalpa consciousness. An expansion of awareness beyond the “I-ness” of humanity takes place.

The Sushumna channel in the spinal chord is the highway through which the Kundalini energy travels and the evolution of consciousness takes place. A still greater state than Paramhamsa is that of the SiddhaNath Yogi, a jeevan mukta. When the mighty Hamsa soul rests in absolute “zero” in the Cave of Brahma, spreading its wings of consciousness to experience the Divinity of creation, one is the SiddhaNath Yogi.

Then the majestic soul proceeds to a loftier state of spiritual awareness beyond the reckoning of mortals where one transfigures oneself into an AvadhootNath Yogi and experiences the total divinity of and beyond creation, gaining the ultimate knowledge of ‘Tat Tvam Asi’ (That Thou Art). The Yogi then merges into Niranjan, the final Nirvana, and is the conqueror, the supreme Jina, having attained the enlightenment of the Buddha and the Christ. This AvadhootNath Yogi returns to the world no more. If, under rare circumstances this Yogi ever does return, it will be as the descent of divinity in flesh and form, and as AvatarNath Yogeshwar.

Note: The Cave of Brahma is located in the center of the skull, with the thalamus glands as its wall, the hypothalamus as its floor and the plexus of the third choroid ventricle as its roof. Within the cave is the spring of life, the aquaduct from which flows forth the cerebrospinal fluid upon which floats the Hamsa swan-like Corpus Callosum.

Prayer to Sanctify Food

From Yogiraj Gurunath

(in Marathi)

Translation

Oh Lord, let us think of Thee

While we take every morsel of food

Let us think of Thee

Let us not think of food as things to eat but as thy food

Let us think of it as a spiritual act

Thou art the food, the eater and digester

May this food give us the good sense to worship thee

And Love thee.
