About Yogiraj

What He Means to Us

Yogiraj SatGurunath Siddhanath is a magnaminius and easily accessible to all Master. Born May 10, 1944 in the city of Gwalior India, he descends from the ancient Royal Lineage of Ikshavaku Rama of the Solar Dynasty.

From the tender age of 3 he attained spontaneous states of Samadhi. During the course of his education at Sherwood College he received the “Certificate of Courage” for rendering assistance in a drowning accident in Nanital Lake. Hopeless in Science and 0’s in Math, he got a distintiction in elocution and the Holy Sciences. After completing his education, he chose to follow his path as a Yogi.

In his early years, he trained in the Himalayas under the guidance of the great Nath Yogis. He was blessed and empowered by the spiritual Masters of caves and jungles of Hindustan. His transformation deepened through profound personal experiences with the Supreme Yogi-Christos, Shiva-Goraksha Babaji, also known as the Mahavatar. These experiences led him to realize the unity of all religions, denominations, and people of the Earth.

As Gurunath fondly tells his disciples “I am there for you as the Presence. You shall not walk alone.”
And believe you me he keeps his word!

Owing to the ceaseless transmission from Yogiraj, many of his disciples who come into the radiance of his solar aura, Nath field, often get a first hand experience of the Master as a direct emanation of Shiva Goraksha Babaji, the Cosmic aura!

Yogiraj has been graced by meeting many Yogis and Masters. He met the great Gagan Giri Nath who was in the lineage of Gahaninath who taught him Goraksha Nath Yoga. Later he went to Jaganath Puri where he met Swami Hari Harianad Giri who gave him a certificate to teach Kriya Yoga to householders and other aspirants as well. He was also guided by Satyanad Giri, who was a direct disciple of Gyan Avatar Shri Yukteswar. The Grand Master Yukteswar is presently teaching states of Nirvikalpa Samadhi and beyond in the Sacred Heaven of Hiranyaloka (ref Autobiography of a Yogi).

Then during his journey he has met other great Yogis and Master such as Swami Muktananda,
Ananda Maye Ma, Neem Karoli Baba, Haidakhan Baba, and Shivabalayogi; when whose feet he went to touch grabbed Yogiraj’s hands and wouldn’t let him touch his feet, then ensued a little tussle where Yogiraj pleaded with him to let him touch his feet to which Shivabalayogi smilingly said “How’s the work going on?” To which Yogiraj asked “Who am i?” To which he replied “You will know by the by.” Yogiraj then said “That’s no reply!” There the anecdote ended. Shivabalayogi has often revealed that he was Lahiri Mahashya in his past life.

Yogiraj Siddhanath was later awarded the title of ‘Yog-Martand’ by the Shankaracahya of Dwarkadish and the Brahman Samaj of Kashi. Yog-Martand is a title given to a Yogi who has reached the highest state of Nirvikalpa Samadhi. This is a great honor because to our knowledge the only Rishi given this title was the monumental Yogi Yagynavalka in the court of King Janak of Mithala, the father of Sita. Yagynavalka wrote the Shukla Yajur Veda and the Krishna Yajur Veda approximately 7,000 years ago. True to his title of Yog-Martand (the Surya of Yoga) his radiance was like the Sun.

The second title conferred upon Yogiraj SatGurunath is the ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Ratna’ for his humanitarian service of healing and supporting many destitute families. Houses built, weddings funded, and many sick people healed. Incedently Gurumata, his wife, is descended from the brother family of the Great King Shivaji, which is also the ruling family of the erstwhile state of Thanajavur.

Presently, true to the titles conferred on him Yogiraj SatGurunath Siddhanath travels the world over giving healing to the infirm and experiences of Samadhi to deserving disciples. This giving of a spiritual awareness to an unprepared congregation, is in itself unprecedented in contemporary times of the modern yoga.
