Awaken in the Presence of a True Spiritual Master: Yogiraj Siddhanath

The presence of a true ‪#‎master‬ can awaken the ‪#‎kundalini‬.
And then by the practice of ‪#‎Kriya_Yoga‬, it may ‪#‎ascend‬.

The Awakening of Kundalini through the Presence of a True Master:
Yogiraj SatGurunath Siddhanath

The presence of a true master holds the power to ignite the dormant spiritual energy within us known as kundalini. This potent energy, often symbolized as a coiled serpent at the base of the spine, lies latent in most individuals. However, the presence of a realized master like Yogiraj Siddhanath can act as a catalyst, awakening this profound force and setting it on a path of ascension through the chakras.

Yogiraj Siddhanath, a revered Kriya Yoga master, embodies this rare ability to awaken kundalini. His mere presence emanates a transformative energy that can activate the kundalini within his disciples. This awakening is not merely a symbolic or metaphorical event but a tangible, often life-altering experience. Those who have had the privilege of being in Yogiraj Siddhanath’s presence often describe a profound shift in their energy, consciousness, and overall spiritual awareness.

Once awakened, the journey of kundalini is guided through the disciplined practice of Kriya Yoga. This ancient and sacred practice involves a series of techniques designed to purify the body and mind, facilitating the smooth ascension of kundalini through the energy centers or chakras. Kriya Yoga, as taught by Yogiraj Siddhanath, offers a structured and safe approach to this powerful process. It harmonizes breath control, meditation, and specific postures to create a conducive environment for spiritual growth.

The ascension of kundalini through the chakras brings about profound transformations. It purifies the nadis (energy channels), balances the chakras, and expands consciousness, leading to higher states of awareness and ultimately, self-realization. Practitioners often report enhanced mental clarity, emotional stability, and a deep sense of inner peace. The ultimate goal is to achieve a state of union with the divine, realizing the interconnectedness of all life.

Yogiraj Siddhanath’s role as a true master goes beyond merely teaching techniques; he provides the spiritual transmission that awakens and guides the kundalini. His teachings and presence offer a unique and precious opportunity for sincere seekers to embark on this transformative journey. Through the combined power of Yogiraj’s presence and the disciplined practice of Kriya Yoga, the path to spiritual enlightenment and the ascension of kundalini becomes a tangible reality.

About The SAT-GURU:

Yog-Mārtand Yogirāj Siddhanāth descends from the Solar Dynasty of Mahārājā Ikshavāku and Prabhu Shree Rāmachandra. The great Kings and lofty Yogis of this ancient Dynasty have been custodians of the sacred science of Rāj-Yog and Kriyā-Yog. Yogirāj Siddhanāth’s transformation was completed in the Himālayas by his deep and personal experience with Mahā-Avatār Bābāji who blessed and empowered him to teach Kriyā-Yog, The Lightning Path to Salvation.

By the grace of Shiv-Goraksha Bābāji, Yogirāj Siddhanāth is one of the rare Himālayan Nāth-Yogis who is accessible to and in constant service of humanity. This Mystic-Master transmits to the masses the triple divine Grace of Shaktipāt, Prānapāt and Shivapāt, the hallmark of a true Sat-Guru.

While upholding the authenticity of the Classical Kriyā-Yog and empowering his disciples the world over into the same, Yogirāj Siddhanāth has further modified and added many dimensions to it. In the process, he has formulated his own revolutionary school of Yog, encompassing “Siddhanāth Hamsa-Yog”, “Siddhanāth Surya-Yog” and many such Sunbeams from his Soul to enlighten the path of the seeker on the journey to Eternal Wisdom.

Who is Shiv Goraksha Babaji?

BabajiShiv Goraksha Babaji holds the power of life and death.
He embodies eternal knowledge and is the source from which all ancient avatars, prophets, and divine incarnations have sprung. Legends about him are widespread throughout India. Known by many names, he is often referred to as the Nameless One, overseeing humanity from eternity to eternity. Even as heaven and earth may pass away, he remains eternally present. His spiritual stature is beyond the understanding of sages, siddhas, philosophers, and yogis. He represents the collective essence of the nine Nath Lords and has infused creation with wisdom and truth to redeem all life and matter to their original state of consciousness.

Shiv Goraksha Babaji is regarded as an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He has given humanity practices to evolve human consciousness, particularly through the divine alchemy of Shiva Shakti (Kundalini Kriya Yoga), which accelerates self-evolution, expands consciousness, and burns away past karma.  As the founder of the Nath Tradition, Babaji reveals himself only to a chosen few and typically remains invisible, guiding humanity through his disciples. He has revived the ancient science of God-realization in modern times, with his mission continuing through his disciples.

There is a profound mystery and sacrifice to the ninth level of Divine Awareness, a state of Brahma Nirvana, from which Babaji descends to redeem humanity while maintaining his divine state. He embodies the collective consciousness of the seven primordial sages born at the beginning of time. Despite being the total light of the highest Elohim, Babaji has left a finite portion of his infinite consciousness to evolve humanity into divinity. This portion manifests among humans as needed, guiding the evolution of humanity until liberation.

Babaji is known as the Eternal Now, the Visible-Invisible Savior of humanity.
He was never born and can never die, often referred to as “aja” (the unborn). Occasionally, he manifests in a form of “Lightless Light” to guide humanity, pulling back the veil of illusion (Maya) to take a visible form. He enlightens human consciousness according to each individual’s evolutionary blueprint.

His deathless body can take any form to show himself to the faithful. He has appeared as Adi Nath Shiva, Rudra of the Ancient of Days, Kal Agni Nath in 500 B.C., Dakshin Murti, Goraksha Nath in 70 B.C., and as Shiva Goraksha Babaji in the ninth century A.D. during the time of Guga Nath. He empowered Guga Nath to master the Nagas and be worshipped as a Naga God.

Goraksha Nath is depicted in supreme samadhi, sitting on a yogic throne with nine Nagas: Vasuki, Ananta, Takshaka, Varuna, Padmaka, Shankhapala, Kulika, Mahapadma, and Karkotaka. As the Lord of karma and destiny, he sat on this throne for 12 years to create a drought in Nepal, providing karmic retribution and evolving the souls of its people.

The subdued Nagas forming his throne were:

  • Varuna, white with a sevenfold jeweled hood in the center.
  • Ananta, dark blue with a jewel in a lotus in the east.
  • Padmaka, lotus stalk colored with five hoods in the south.
  • Takshaka, saffron with nine hoods in the west.
  • Vasuki, green with seven heads in the north.
  • Shankhapala, yellowish in the southwest.
  • Kulika, white with thirty heads in the northwest.
  • Karkotaka, half-human, blue in the southeast.
  • Mahapadma, golden in the northeast.

When the people of Nepal were purged of their sins, Matsyendra Nath appeared, and Goraksha Nath greeted him, releasing the Nagas and bringing rainfall.

Matsyendra Nath, after intense meditation in the Himalayas, asked Lord Shiva for a disciple greater than himself. Shiva, pleased, manifested as Shiva Goraksha Babaji from his heart. Babaji, in spiritual form, was ready to inhabit a physical body. Matsyendra Nath gave holy ash (Vibhuti) containing Goraksha’s spirit to a woman desiring a child. Despite the woman discarding it, Goraksha’s spirit grew, and when Matsyendra Nath called for it, Goraksha arose from the earth, ready to cleanse and enlighten humanity through Kriya Yoga Meditation.

Come to a New Life Awakening Retreat with The Presence and experience the living essence of Babaji.

Donations for Annapurna Temple

The Siddhanath Forest Ashram is a place of nourishment. Our souls are fed by the Divine vibrations, and our bodies – by the prasad we receive at every meal. All meals at the Forest Ashram are made by Shakti in the form of goddess Annapurna, through Guruma.

Goddess Annapurna is regarded the goddess of food. In Sanskrit, ‘Anna’ means ‘food’ and ‘Purna’ means ‘abundance or filled.’ Goddess Annapurna promises all those who come to her something that only the mother can give: to nourish them and to give without thinking about herself, to be unselfish. She is the incarnation of the goddess Parvati and one of the many forms of Mother Shakti. In this incarnation, she nourishes all living beings; therefore, the Hindus consider “Anna” to be holy, which is why prayers are offered before eating.

In honor of the goddess Annapurna, our Divine Mother, Guruma, is building a temple at the Ashram. Phase one has been completed wherein the sanctum sanctorum of the temple was erected and the Prana Prathistha ceremony conducted. Prana Prathistha is the consecration, or infusion of spiritual life to animate the idol of the Goddess. The Goddess is worshipped on Tuesdays and Fridays – the days of the goddess, and every dark moon and full moon, Brahman priests conduct rituals to nurture the spirit of the Goddess. As part of this ceremony, children are fed nutritious meals prepared in the special Brahman kitchen that was also erected just adjacent to the Annapurna temple.

Guruma envisions certain enhancements to the temple – such as building a marble platform that would provide closer access to the Goddess during pujas so that sacred kum kum can be placed on her forehead, and offerings placed at her feet. Also, the Goddess murthi herself will be pulled forward a few feet so that she sits directly under the pinnacle of the temple, enhancing the flow of spiritual energy into the Goddess. Our goal is to raise $15,000 towards the completion of the temple, as well as a yearly amount of $5,000 to cover the costs of all of the pujas and prasad for the children. Donations may either be made through PayPal at or directly to Guruma herself.  This will be an ongoing campaign and donations are welcome anytime.  In the note section when making the donation, please indicate “For Annapurna Temple”.

May we all be blessed by the abundance of Goddess Annapurna, and may we all embody the generosity and unconditional loving of Guruma. Om.

The sun was shining its gentle morning rays as we picked up leaves and cleaned the ashram grounds. Nature’s music – the sound of rustling trees and the cows chewing the grass – surrounded us, and the fresh air filled our lungs. What another beautiful morning it was, and for efficiency’s sake I was using two brooms to clean. When I had first come to the ashram and greeted Gurunath, he said that we had arrived just in time to pick up the leaves and clean. With this at the forefront of my mind, I pushed my arms to the brink of their strength to continuously sweep vigorously, a broom in each hand, ignoring my asthma and any fatigue. Daily, we continued to joyfully help clean the ashram grounds, breathing in the clean air as we did seva.

One day during a satsang, Gurunath was imparting the grace of Pranapat (breathing his spiritual prana through our breath in our spinal cord), when he told us that we could put our arms back to stretch. As I did this, I felt a tingling on my upper back. The tingling was so condensed and concentrated that it felt like a hand was placed on my back. Afterwards, I breathed in normally and felt an expansiveness in my chest, to a point not previously possible without Gurunath’s grace of Pranapat. I had suffered from asthma since I was a child. However, it felt as if this limitation was gone as there was no constriction in my breathing.

After the satsang was over I tested my breathing by running around the ashram grounds, and my breathing remained steady. Later that day I went swimming, and I could swim the length of the pool without coming up for air! All these things were not previously possible. With extreme gratitude in my heart, I thanked Gurunath when we were walking together on a path with others. He said it had helped to breathe in the medicinal fresh air of the ashram while I swept so vigorously, and that my asthma being alleviated shows the anti-aging benefits of being there.

Since then, I have not had to use my inhalers at all. In the past, I used a preventive inhaler daily, a rescue inhaler several times a week, and a nebulizer during particularly bad asthma attacks. I had prayed to Gurunath to help alleviate my asthma, as it had sometimes interfered with my sadhana in doing the Kriya breath. With Gurunath’s blessings this obstacle has been removed.

Jai SatGurunath! Thank you SatGurunath for your ever-present Presence in our lives. Eternal victory to Gurunath, his compassion and mercy overflows from his smiling eyes.

With love from a devoted disciple

Himalayan Pilgrimage With SatGurunath 2024

Satsang with SatGurunath at Makkumath Temple with the backdrop of the Himalayas.

The call of the Himalayas beckoned seekers from all corners of the globe, to embark on a profound spiritual odyssey with our revered master Yogiraj SatGurunath Siddhanāth.

The journey commenced with a full day of travel from the environs of the Siddhanāth Forest Ashram, Pune, soaring through the skies to Dehradun, the gateway to the Himalayas. From there, the road leads to Rishikesh, a sacred town nestled on the banks of the Ganges, where we found solace and rest at Hotel Natraj, with excitement of the journey that lay ahead.

Day two was another day of travel that unfolded as we journeyed higher up through winding roads and picturesque landscapes, with a pause for lunch amidst the serenity of nature. Finally, we arrived at our abode in Ukhimath, a tranquil sanctuary with a magnificent view of the majestic Kedarnath & other Himalayan snow-clad peaks of Uttarakhand. We settled in comfortably for the night, with the anticipation building for the spiritual experiences that awaited us.

As the first light of dawn painted the sky, the next morning began with an immersion into a joyous satsang and meditation session with our dear SatGuru, deepening our connection to the inner self. As the day unfolded, we visited the ancient Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath where it is believed that the wedding of Usha (daughter of Vanasur) and Anirudh (grandson of Lord Krishna) was solemnized. This temple is also the winter seat of Lord Kedarnathji, and we were blessed to have had a powerful darshan in this sacred space that pulsated with divine energy in the presence of our SatGuru.

Satsang and Dhyaan at the Omkareshwar Temple with SatGurunath

The fourth day of our Himalayan pilgrimage was a fun, action-packed outdoor experience at Chopta; around 8000 ft. above sea level. A playful snow-fight, where our laughter echoed amidst the flurry of snow, and camaraderie blossomed as we engaged in friendly battles amongst us fellow Hamsas, the thrill of the moment heightened by the crisp mountain air. Following the spirited exchange, we gathered for a nourishing lunch, and relished the piping hot food with gratefulness for the enriching experience that each day of the pilgrimage brought with our beloved SatGuru.

The next day, we embarked on a transformative journey to the Kalimath Temple where it is believed that after killing the devil Raktbeej, Goddess Kali went underground. We encountered a profound divine energy as we offered our prayers during the puja and felt the aura of shakti envelop us. We paid our respects at the adjoining temples adorned with antiquated deities of Mahalaxmi, Gauri Shankar and Laxmi embodying the rich tapestry of our sacred legends. Our footsteps echoed through the sanctum of the Bhairav temple, where time seemed to stand still amidst the whispers of bygone eras. Beside the temple, the holy Saraswati River surged with life, its roaring waters a testament to the enduring power of nature in this sacred land. Each moment spent in the embrace of these divine surroundings left an indelible mark on our souls, guiding us ever closer to our inner pilgrimage of self-realisation.

On the sixth day of our Himalayan pilgrimage, we journeyed to the sacred Makkumath temple, where Lord Tunganathji is revered and brought down during the winter months. Amidst the majestic mountains and the potent energy of the surroundings, we sat in meditation, feeling a profound connection to the spiritual essence of the land. We were graced with an enlightening satsang led by SatGurunath, where he shared timeless tales of spiritual beings who have traversed these lands, reminding us of the enduring presence of divine guidance. On our way back to the hotel, we paused at a mountain-side tea stall, captivated by SatGurunath’s impromptu satsang, further deepening our spiritual journey amidst the serene beauty of the Himalayas.

After indulging in a hearty breakfast we rolled into the bus for our return journey from Ukhimath to Rishikesh the next day. Along the route, we made a stop at the convergence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini Rivers in Rudraprayag. Some of us Hamsas seized the opportunity to take a dip in the holy water and witnessed a truly magical phenomenon, where nature unveiled a mystical display—the formation of a brilliant circle of light, leaving us in wonder and awe of our master’s grace being bestowed on us.

On the final day of our Himalayan pilgrimage, we had a leisurely time browsing through the quaint little stores along the Ram Jhoola and experienced the local vibe of Rishikesh. We savoured every moment and soaked in the presence and love of our dear SatGurunath, and cherished the deep bonds forged during this retreat. As the dawn of the next day approached, we bid farewell, carrying in our hearts the treasured memories and a sense of fulfillment from our transformative journey with Yogiraj SatGurunath Siddhanath.

– A devotee

This is my account of an experience I had during the Shivranjan Kriya meditation retreat at the Siddhanath Forest Ashram in January, 2024.

It was the alchemical tea session with Yogiraj by the swimming pool area of the ashram on the lawn over the slope. It was a starry night with a peaceful and divine ambience. As Yogiraj’s satsang continued, I was tuned into the aura of SatGurunath. Everyone was in a blissful state of calmness.

While I listened to and watched the Master, I started noticing that Satgurunath’s image would totally vanish from my eyesight for a while. He would disappear, and the next moment, he was visible in his place.

I sat more alertly to reconfirm it and to my goodness this same phenomenon continued throughout the session. Every time, I could trace out the table and the cell phone light, which was kept in front of him, but he completely disappeared from my vision. He was audible to me as the satsang continued.

About 8 to 10 times I saw him disappearing and reappearing in front of my eyes. It was such an amazing and real experience for me which reminded me of Yogiraj repeatedly explaining to us about the Satguru as an individuality and not the personality. I was also thinking to myself that since I used to do my Kriya daily, in spite of my efforts, it seemed quite difficult to see Yogiraj’s image at my third eye. I used to meditate upon a blank space without any image. On this day, I was convinced that our Master is in fact, that nothingness which is the part and constituent of the universal consciousness.

Soulful pranam and gratitude at the lotus feet of our beloved master Yogiraj SatGurunath!
