About The SAT-GURU:

Yog-Mārtand Yogirāj Siddhanāth descends from the Solar Dynasty of Mahārājā Ikshavāku and Prabhu Shree Rāmachandra. The great Kings and lofty Yogis of this ancient Dynasty have been custodians of the sacred science of Rāj-Yog and Kriyā-Yog. Yogirāj Siddhanāth’s transformation was completed in the Himālayas by his deep and personal experience with Mahā-Avatār Bābāji who blessed and empowered him to teach Kriyā-Yog, The Lightning Path to Salvation.

By the grace of Shiv-Goraksha Bābāji, Yogirāj Siddhanāth is one of the rare Himālayan Nāth-Yogis who is accessible to and in constant service of humanity. This Mystic-Master transmits to the masses the triple divine Grace of Shaktipāt, Prānapāt and Shivapāt, the hallmark of a true Sat-Guru.

While upholding the authenticity of the Classical Kriyā-Yog and empowering his disciples the world over into the same, Yogirāj Siddhanāth has further modified and added many dimensions to it. In the process, he has formulated his own revolutionary school of Yog, encompassing “Siddhanāth Hamsa-Yog”, “Siddhanāth Surya-Yog” and many such Sunbeams from his Soul to enlighten the path of the seeker on the journey to Eternal Wisdom.

Who is Shiv Goraksha Babaji?

BabajiShiv Goraksha Babaji holds the power of life and death.
He embodies eternal knowledge and is the source from which all ancient avatars, prophets, and divine incarnations have sprung. Legends about him are widespread throughout India. Known by many names, he is often referred to as the Nameless One, overseeing humanity from eternity to eternity. Even as heaven and earth may pass away, he remains eternally present. His spiritual stature is beyond the understanding of sages, siddhas, philosophers, and yogis. He represents the collective essence of the nine Nath Lords and has infused creation with wisdom and truth to redeem all life and matter to their original state of consciousness.

Shiv Goraksha Babaji is regarded as an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He has given humanity practices to evolve human consciousness, particularly through the divine alchemy of Shiva Shakti (Kundalini Kriya Yoga), which accelerates self-evolution, expands consciousness, and burns away past karma.  As the founder of the Nath Tradition, Babaji reveals himself only to a chosen few and typically remains invisible, guiding humanity through his disciples. He has revived the ancient science of God-realization in modern times, with his mission continuing through his disciples.

There is a profound mystery and sacrifice to the ninth level of Divine Awareness, a state of Brahma Nirvana, from which Babaji descends to redeem humanity while maintaining his divine state. He embodies the collective consciousness of the seven primordial sages born at the beginning of time. Despite being the total light of the highest Elohim, Babaji has left a finite portion of his infinite consciousness to evolve humanity into divinity. This portion manifests among humans as needed, guiding the evolution of humanity until liberation.

Babaji is known as the Eternal Now, the Visible-Invisible Savior of humanity.
He was never born and can never die, often referred to as “aja” (the unborn). Occasionally, he manifests in a form of “Lightless Light” to guide humanity, pulling back the veil of illusion (Maya) to take a visible form. He enlightens human consciousness according to each individual’s evolutionary blueprint.

His deathless body can take any form to show himself to the faithful. He has appeared as Adi Nath Shiva, Rudra of the Ancient of Days, Kal Agni Nath in 500 B.C., Dakshin Murti, Goraksha Nath in 70 B.C., and as Shiva Goraksha Babaji in the ninth century A.D. during the time of Guga Nath. He empowered Guga Nath to master the Nagas and be worshipped as a Naga God.

Goraksha Nath is depicted in supreme samadhi, sitting on a yogic throne with nine Nagas: Vasuki, Ananta, Takshaka, Varuna, Padmaka, Shankhapala, Kulika, Mahapadma, and Karkotaka. As the Lord of karma and destiny, he sat on this throne for 12 years to create a drought in Nepal, providing karmic retribution and evolving the souls of its people.

The subdued Nagas forming his throne were:

  • Varuna, white with a sevenfold jeweled hood in the center.
  • Ananta, dark blue with a jewel in a lotus in the east.
  • Padmaka, lotus stalk colored with five hoods in the south.
  • Takshaka, saffron with nine hoods in the west.
  • Vasuki, green with seven heads in the north.
  • Shankhapala, yellowish in the southwest.
  • Kulika, white with thirty heads in the northwest.
  • Karkotaka, half-human, blue in the southeast.
  • Mahapadma, golden in the northeast.

When the people of Nepal were purged of their sins, Matsyendra Nath appeared, and Goraksha Nath greeted him, releasing the Nagas and bringing rainfall.

Matsyendra Nath, after intense meditation in the Himalayas, asked Lord Shiva for a disciple greater than himself. Shiva, pleased, manifested as Shiva Goraksha Babaji from his heart. Babaji, in spiritual form, was ready to inhabit a physical body. Matsyendra Nath gave holy ash (Vibhuti) containing Goraksha’s spirit to a woman desiring a child. Despite the woman discarding it, Goraksha’s spirit grew, and when Matsyendra Nath called for it, Goraksha arose from the earth, ready to cleanse and enlighten humanity through Kriya Yoga Meditation.

Come to a New Life Awakening Retreat with The Presence and experience the living essence of Babaji.

Donations for Annapurna Temple

The Siddhanath Forest Ashram is a place of nourishment. Our souls are fed by the Divine vibrations, and our bodies – by the prasad we receive at every meal. All meals at the Forest Ashram are made by Shakti in the form of goddess Annapurna, through Guruma.

Goddess Annapurna is regarded the goddess of food. In Sanskrit, ‘Anna’ means ‘food’ and ‘Purna’ means ‘abundance or filled.’ Goddess Annapurna promises all those who come to her something that only the mother can give: to nourish them and to give without thinking about herself, to be unselfish. She is the incarnation of the goddess Parvati and one of the many forms of Mother Shakti. In this incarnation, she nourishes all living beings; therefore, the Hindus consider “Anna” to be holy, which is why prayers are offered before eating.

In honor of the goddess Annapurna, our Divine Mother, Guruma, is building a temple at the Ashram. Phase one has been completed wherein the sanctum sanctorum of the temple was erected and the Prana Prathistha ceremony conducted. Prana Prathistha is the consecration, or infusion of spiritual life to animate the idol of the Goddess. The Goddess is worshipped on Tuesdays and Fridays – the days of the goddess, and every dark moon and full moon, Brahman priests conduct rituals to nurture the spirit of the Goddess. As part of this ceremony, children are fed nutritious meals prepared in the special Brahman kitchen that was also erected just adjacent to the Annapurna temple.

Guruma envisions certain enhancements to the temple – such as building a marble platform that would provide closer access to the Goddess during pujas so that sacred kum kum can be placed on her forehead, and offerings placed at her feet. Also, the Goddess murthi herself will be pulled forward a few feet so that she sits directly under the pinnacle of the temple, enhancing the flow of spiritual energy into the Goddess. Our goal is to raise $15,000 towards the completion of the temple, as well as a yearly amount of $5,000 to cover the costs of all of the pujas and prasad for the children. Donations may either be made through PayPal at donate@siddhanath.org or directly to Guruma herself.  This will be an ongoing campaign and donations are welcome anytime.  In the note section when making the donation, please indicate “For Annapurna Temple”.

May we all be blessed by the abundance of Goddess Annapurna, and may we all embody the generosity and unconditional loving of Guruma. Om.

80th Birthday Ceremony & Celebration of SatGurunath at the Siddhanath Forest Ashram

Drawn by the magnetic pull of the Himalayan Master, seekers traveled from afar to the Siddhanath Forest Ashram, nestled in the valley of Simhagarh, to celebrate the 80th birthday ceremony of their beloved Master. The Mother Center vibrated with calmness and serenity; and inner peace, healing and tranquility was experienced effortlessly on reaching this Tapoboomi, the abode of SatGurunath.

Disciples began arriving two days prior to the event with great enthusiasm. Despite the scorching heat of the summer sun, Hamsas reached the ashram walking their way with love and endurance.

On the following day, as the morning sun lit the blue skies with hues of gold, the ashram bustled with Hamsas spread around practicing the Surya Yoga technique, while others peacefully meditated inside the Earth Peace temple. This temple houses the world’s largest solid akhand, or mercury Shivalinga. Meditating in the radiance of this Shivalinga is a divine opportunity for seekers to rejuvenate and transform their own self.

As the day progressed, Hamsas enjoyed a hearty lunch amidst the torrid summer heat. The Hamsas further had a blessed time when SatGurunath graced all with his darshan followed by a blissful goshti (spiritual chat from a guru) session. The thrill heightened as the winds blew, clouds roared with loud thunder and there was a heavy downpour. The fresh aroma of mother earth soaked in rain waters penetrated deeply into our souls, leaving a joyous realization of the divine grace being showered by the Master, towards whom deepest gratitude was humbly offered. As the evening embraced the night sky, the Hamsas finished decorating the ashram and planning for the special day.

As the first light of dawn touched early morning skies, the most awaited and auspicious 80th birthday celebration began with the Laghu-Rudrabhishek poojan. The pandits arrived at the Earth Peace temple and prepared for poojan in the the beautifully decorated sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

All Hamsas gathered near the Annapurna mandir which was adorned with beautiful flower hangings, hand painted earthen pots and lights. We awaited the blissful arrival of SatGurunath accompanied by the entire Guru-pariwar. The Hamsas were divided in small groups and guided to enter the temple in batches to witness the grand abhishekam. The pandits began the recitation of sacred slokas, and SatGurunath commenced with the abhishek of the Paradeshwar Shivalinga. The entire sanctum sanctorum vibrated with an outburst of profound divine energy which enveloped the premises, immersing each one in this divine energy.

At lunch, a sumptuous meal was first served to the married women present at the ashram and auspicious gifts were lovingly offered to them; this was a part of the Suhasini-poojan ritual conducted by our beloved Guruma. Later on, the remaining Hamsas also joined to savor the delicious lunch.

Simultaneously, the Sahastra Chandra darshan poojan and havan ceremony began at the Annapurna temple. With sacred loud chants echoing in the divine environs of the ashram, this ritual was solemnized by SatGurunath and his entire family.

The sacred havan smoke rose from the havan-kund, filling the area with its unique fragrance, and all the Hamsas were seated to witness these enchanting moments in the divine surroundings. The havan was then followed by the sacred abhishek of the Rudravatar – YogirajSatGurunath Siddhanath, which was lovingly commenced by his eldest son, Yogi Shivraj-ji who was accompanied by the entire family. This ceremony filled each one present with a sense of awe. It was so mesmerizing that I felt even God and divine beings from heaven would wish to witness this event!

At twilight, the sanga was blessed with a warm and loving welcome from Yogi Shivraj-ji at the beautifully decorated Nath Mandal. This was followed by the collective divine chanting by the Hamsas. Opening their heart chakras, Hamsas awaited the arrival of SatGurunath. A special sacred aarti thaali was lit with beautifully decorated 81 diyas (lights), and the family offered a divine aarti ceremony to Satgurunath which was followed by the cake cutting ceremony. Everyone finally settled with deep gratitude for the long awaited divine satsang, with the Presence – Yogiraj SatGurunath Siddhanath. Each moment quenched the soul of all present there, further deepening the connection with the inner self. As the satsang progressed, everyone’s minds melted and dissolved into a no-mind state, blessed with the divine sharing of his samadhi experience.

When the satsang ended, all gathered at the dining area for food prayers, and some Hamsas lovingly offered gifts to SatGurunath while others relished the piping hot food. As the night deepened, we reminisced on this divine occasion and each one felt fortunate to have seized the opportunity to be a part of this blissful ceremony.

At dawn the next day, everyone bid goodbye to SatGurunath. Blessed with enriching transformative experiences and the warmth of divine love treasured deep in our hearts, the Hamsas set their footsteps back home leaving the Mother Center, Siddhanath Forest Ashram, the abode of SatGurunath with a heavy heart but a strong commitment to walk on his guided path.
